Vaccine Candidates for Infectious Disease Response
Highlights
Through the advancement of infectious disease response platforms and related technologies, early response to emerging infectious diseases can be significantly expedited. This includes the re-evaluation of existing vaccines, drug repurposing, and genomic analysis of pathogens, all of which are expected to enhance the ability to respond to a wide range of infectious diseases and enable faster and more accurate vaccine development.

By establishing systems for rapid vaccine development and mass production, response capabilities to infectious diseases will be strengthened, contributing to improved global public health. Furthermore, by advancing domestic vaccine manufacturing processes and building large-scale production infrastructure, Korea is expected to establish a solid foundation to play a pivotal role in the global vaccine supply chain.
