Highlights
In light of the 2030 NDC and the 2050 carbon neutrality targets, it is essential to expand mid- to long-term R&D investments. A detailed plan for integrated demonstration research is needed to ensure that various CCUS technologies are organically linked. To reduce infrastructure investment costs, strategies such as reutilizing existing infrastructure should be considered.
International cooperation must be strengthened to secure overseas storage sites, and for the secured core CCU technologies to move toward demonstration and commercialization, clear role-sharing among participating entities and the establishment of a coordinated and collaborative framework are crucial.
